Description
Calfskin and gilt bound volume with pre-printed staff paper and handwritten dance music, marches, and popular songs. The inside front cover is inscribed with "Ellen Orne Clarke 1820," "Harriet Orne Clarke 1810," "Catherine Lipit Dennison," and "Eben Appleton," along with many other scribbles, doodles, and notes. The back inside cover is inscribed "Harriet Clarke 1810." Many of the pieces have fingerings penciled in above the music, some have lyrics, and one song of note is "The Death of an Indian Warrior ...
