I Might Have Known (1924) Sheet Music

By W. Earthman Farrell; Arthur Sizemore; Gus Shrigley. Published 1924. Free to read and download from Internet Archive.

Description

I Might Have Known is a 1924 popular ballad with lyrics by W. Earthman Farrell and music by Arthur Sizemore and Guy Shrigley, published by Sizemore & Shrigley of Chicago. The song reflects the sentimental romantic songwriting styles popular during the early Jazz Age and was arranged for voice and piano performance in homes, dance halls, and vaudeville settings. The cover design features bold orange-and-black vertical striping surrounding a photograph of a performing orchestra onstage beneath an ornate theater arch, creating a striking blend of photography and graphic design characteristic of 1920s commercial sheet music. Interior advertising pages promote additional titles from the publisher, including “Bashful Baby” and “Trying To Smile.” Digitized from an original 1924 edition.
